Parts of an Article

   Parts of a newspaper are the:
      Headline: It catches the readers eye, and summarizes the story into a short sentence.
      By Line: This tells the reader who the author of the article is.
      Place Line: Tells you where the story originated from.
      Lead: Briefly gives information about the who, what, when, and where.
      Body: Gives additional information that is separated in to smaller paragraphs
      Facts: True information that came from reliable sources
      Quotes: Tells the reader the exact thing that a witness said.
General News: This contains the most important news both here and around the world. The title of the most important news is printed in big bold letters.
Local and Foreign News Section: Parts of this section contains news from the towns and cities of the nations.
Editorial Page: Printed in this section are articles called editorials, which gives views or opinions of the editor or publisher on certain topics, issues or events.
Sports Page: This page contains news about sports events in and out of the country.
Classified Ads Section: This section contains advertisements which fall under heading such as Help Wanted, for lease or sale, etc.
Business and Finance Section: This section provides businessmen and people interested in business with information on banking, foreign exchange rates, and imports and exports.
Entertainment Section: This section contains information about movies, television, radio, and other entertainment mediums. This also includes games, puzzles, comic strips, cartoons, and horoscopes.
Home and Culture Section: This section provides ideas about budgeting, food preparation, house improvement, proper plant care, etc.
Society Page: This section focuses on news about important events or celebrations and people performing at particular places.
Travel and Tourism Section: This section provides a guide to enjoyable travel. It directs tourists to scenic vacations spots and gives information on the activities in these places.
Announcements and Obituary Page: This section provides list of people who died and the time and place of their burial, and events that are coming up.
