SPJ Code of Ethics

   In this article we learn about what journalists do ,what journalism is, and what it must contain. Things such as the truth, should try to find the most reliable of sources, etc. The article is telling us about what is expected of us when making an article that informs people about a subject.
   Articles should contain relevant information, that is true, has reliable sources to back up the claims, and also be accountable for your work. If your article has something that is false take responsibility and change it to the correct information. You should give the people we hear less the ability to be vocal about problems they face.
   The article should treat people as intelligent and respectful. You should change your approach to an article based on the cultural differences, be more compassionate for those victims of crimes, and don't try to change the opinion of the public on a criminal suspect until they have been identified as the culprit.
   When writing articles, make sure that you disclose any ties to any product or company, do not take any products given to you by a brand or company for better reviews. This otherwise can damage your credibility as a journalist. Do not take favors and show favoritism to anything based on any reason, stay impartial and unbiased.
   While writing an article, you should tell the reader about what journalism practices you part-take in. Keep your standards high for yourself, if you make mistakes acknowledge it and correct it. (If on the Internet) If anyone has questions be sure to answer them in order to make sure no misinformation is sent.

Project 2: Collage, Silhouette and lettering

In this project, we were supposed to make a collage of images about a person inside of a cutout of that person, and also make an outline of that person that describes said person. The objective of the lab was to see if we could use what we learned so far, it was to get us more familiar with things such as masks. Collage: I started by duplicating the picture of the person, then I made a selection of the person I chose. I would delete the person. Now I would import the images I was using for the collage. I would drag the images below the cutout, using the layer’s tab on the right-side panel. Then I would align them and save. This time I would go to Select>Inverse, this allows me to delete everything except the person. Now I would go back and do Select>Inverse again, to select the person. Project 3 : Restore Old Photograph

   In this lab we were supposed to edit a damaged image with the tools we used in lab 8 which were, spot healing tool, healing tool, patch tool, etc. The objective of the lab was to teach us how to use tools to fix an image that was damaged. I completed this by using the healing tool to get rid of the damage in the background. I then would go and fix the bottom of the picture with the blanket or something similar, for this I would use the patch tool, healing tool, and spot healing tool. Then I would use the same tools to work on the colour damage. After that I started work on the eyes, and then finished the hair.    We used Adobe Photoshop CS6. This is relevant to web design because we may have to fix images in our line of work depending on the way we work and what type of work we do. I see myself using these skills to fix images that I need to use for a webpage or just as a business in general.

Windows Vs Mac | What We Discussed In Class

Today we learned the different kinds of commands we can use in Mac, like CMD + X is to cut, CMD + Z is to undo, and CMD + A is to select all. Really basic stuff. We learned about what commands do what and how to activate them. We had a discussion about what stuff Mac and Windows had, Ms.Ramirez talked about how she made a computer with her son, it costed around $450+, but she said there was a terabyte solid state drive which itself the cheapest you can get those for is $230, so I don't know how they fit that into a PC build that costed around $450. Anyways, I digress. We also discussed features of macOS, like the multiple desktops feature available.
